The Regional Port Society of Buenavista in Colombia, US, has revealed a plan to invest $122m in modernising Pacific Buenavista Port.
The two-year project includes the construction of Pier 14 and a bulk storage facility, dredging works, improvements in piers 7, 8 and 9, and the modernisation of the port's information systems.
In addition, the port will buy two post-panamax gantry cranes and six RTG cranes.
The plan is aimed at expanding the capacity of the port to handle post-panamax ships, according to colombiareports.com. |
