CLIENT PROFILE:

This is a manufactory was established in October 2002 at Xinzhuang Industry Zone of Shanghai, belongs to a Finland international group, provides complete, tailor-made non-welded piping systems, prefabricated piping modules and piping components to its customers. The solutions are well known for their design/engineering capability, advanced technical solutions and high quality.

Nowadays there are 30 employees working at Shanghai manufactory and around 500 piping specialists working for the group all around the world, and the Group generated a turnover of about 142 Million Euros in 2007.

Position: Sales Manager
Department: Sales Department
Report to: Managing Director
Location: Xinzhuang, Shanghai  & Yantai, Shandong

Job Responsibilities:

• Liaise with the customers base consisting of multinational offshore OEMs, shipyards, as well as with the ship-owners, engineering and design companies to ensure that product is specified as a preferred solution to welding or competing systems;
• Show leadership, guide and motivate sales team to achieve set sales target;
• Drive and implement the commercial strategies in defined market segments in the Chinese market;
• Proactively identify new business opportunities;
• Establish and maintain good relationships with global strategic customers;
• Maximize revenues and profitability;
• Analyse competitors within the Chinese market;
• Improve customer service level.
• To successfully manage the position, the successful candidate is required to visit the customers and distributors frequently, often several days per week.

Requirement:

Education: Commercial and /or Engineering background with understanding of technical issues
Language: Good language skills in both Chinese and English

Working Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years proven sales and marketing experiences in Hydraulics, Marine/offshore Industry;

Professional experience:
• Proven track record of working in a multicultural international business environment;
• Proven track record in sales in a strong growth environment
• Understanding of project sales and benefit to have a knowledge in all key areas of project management in particular feasibility; planning, design, estimation, procurement, and construction;
• Experience working with Western / Strategic customers;
• Preference shall be given to people who have off-shore or marine industry segment experience.
Sales Management skills:
• Knowledge of strategic planning including knowledge and application of strategic goal and objective setting, initiatives, target setting;
• Knowledge of sales budgeting and resource management;
• Analytic thinking, policy conceptualization and implementation skills;
• Negotiation & Influencing skills;
People Management skills:
• Good communication and strong interpersonal skills;
• Well competence to assess feasibility studies & review design documents;
• Must have an intuitive ability to see the ‘big picture’ ;

解释一下这个工作的基本情况。芬兰公司规模不大,大概30多人,GM和HR都是外国人,销售团队大概10人左右,销售渠道主要是船舶业和石油平台
